RN needed to TEACH our future CNA's!!

 

HOURS:  Monday - Friday (8:00am - 4:45pm)

 

OVERVIEW:

Performs as an instructor in a regular classroom setting, presenting instructions in designated subject area

MAJOR ACTIVITIES PERFORMED:Demonstrates and abides by the Company Core Values and the operating principles Promotes a positive and desirable atmosphere within the classroom setting to insure maximum student motivation Maintains a high degree of discipline within the classroom setting in order to insure maximum learning Establishes a high degree of student/instructor rapport Utilizes all possible curriculum resources available Responsible for the maintenance of student personnel folders Records and forwards daily attendance to the Student Records area Assists in the completion of all necessary Job Corps forms Responsible for insuring that the equipment and supplies are cared for Accountable for the cleanliness of classrooms Responsible for reports required by the Manager such as student/staff hours, requisitions and monthly student evaluations Assists Manager during scheduled inventory



Additionally, this position will provide instruction that engages, guides and instructs. Coordinates all medical instruction for Trainees.  Provide instruction guidance and oversight for all off center training.  Maintain all equipment.  Manager department within financial budget.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum: Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 2 years of practical clinical nursing experience in long term care facility required. Train the Trainer Credential is also required. Must have teaching experience, however if candidate is not credentialed he/she must pursue the credential. Must have the ability to transfer topical knowledge to meet specific learning objectives.

 

Preferred: Extensive practical experience as RN, vocational teaching credential and teaching experience

 

General Information: In order to perform the essential job functions of this position, candidate must be able to compose/write descriptive reports; use appropriate techniques to implement programmatic activities; verbally direct individuals and groups; remedy  dysfunctional behavior; intervene with students in crisis with aggression control/safe physical management restraint techniques; successfully complete mandated training courses.

 

Knowledge Required: Knowledge of methods needed to instill appropriate behavior as well as work and study habits in adolescent students; of housekeeping techniques and management; to read, comprehend, interpret, communicate and execute instructions or directives fluently in English.

 

Salary:  $42,945 – 60,123 (DOE)
