We currently have an outstanding opportunity for a Research Manager for our team in Burr Ridge, IL. The Research Manager is responsible for building and leading a team of the best and brightest Research Scientists in the applied fields of psychometrics and educational measurement. Supervising, coordinating, and managing research activities in support of CTB’s products and services. Planning, budgeting, recruiting, and fostering the development of research staff Directing research activities for products and/or contracts, and presenting and publishing research results. Contributes to the conceptualization and development of new products and services and enhancements in Research productivity. Represents Research at professional meetings (local, state and national) Contributes to CTB’s reputation for sound innovation and technical leadership through research presentations and publications.Required Qualifications: Ph. D. or Ed. D. in psychometrics, educational measurement, or a related field. Four years post-degree experience in educational measurement or a related field preferred. Extensive knowledge of educational measurement and ability to independently solve technical problems. Ability to effectively lead, manage, and develop professional staff and find positive solutions to challenging situations or issues. Proven track record of meeting schedule and budget commitments and demonstrating project leadership skills. Ability to communicate technical concepts accurately and effectively, both orally and in writing, to audiences with a wide range of technical backgrounds.Desired: 3+ years of successful people management experience preferred.For more information please visit our website: http://www.ctb.com/.
