SDSU Children’s Center Supervising Teacher (Infants and Toddlers)
The Associated Students at San Diego State University seeks a qualified individual to supervise staff and teach children in our Children's Center Program, working with other staff, student interns, volunteers and parents to provide a safe and positive experience for children and adults.
Responsibilities include ensuring the implementation of a variety of appropriate daily activities, providing social and emotional guidance to children through interaction, positive reinforcement and discipline techniques, communicating with parents regarding their child's growth and development on an on-going basis, ensuring daily meals are served in accordance with program philosophy, requirements and health standards, assisting in planning regular parent meetings and events and making recommendations on potential programming alternatives, needs and ideas to enhance the program.
The successful candidate will have at least 3 years teaching experience in a children’s center program serving children from infants to 5 years of age including supervisory experience of multiple staff in a classroom setting. Experience in a state funded, parent fee based and parent participation program a plus. Must have a minimum of 3 units in infant and toddler development courses.
SALARY & BENEFITS
Hiring Range: $34,836-$41,803/yr. This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position.
