THE CROSSROADS SCHOOL FOR CHILD DEVELOPMENT IS EXPANDING!!!

The Crossroads School for Child Development is a NYS DOH approved Early Intervention and Special Education Preschool Program. Established in 1991 the School provides homebased and centerbased services to children ages birth to five throughout Queens and Nassau County.

With the opening of our second school set for July 1, 2008, the Crossroads School is expanding the range of services that it offers which has created many new positions. These positions include full-time, part-time and independent contractor opportunities:


ABA PROFESSIONALS (SPECIAL EDUCATORS & COORDINATOR)

The Crossroads School is seeking NYS CERTIFIED Special Educators (Birth to Grade 2) to provide home or community-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with infants & toddlers. The following full-time & contract positions are now available:

- ABA COORDINATOR: 2 or more years experience as an ABA Supervisor

Supervise center-based and home-based cases. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience providing ABA services for the Early Intervention Program and previous experience supervising EI cases in Queens and/or Nassau County


- ABA TEACHERS: 1 or more year experience as an ABA Teacher


- SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHERS:
• Center-based Classroom Teachers for Early Intervention classrooms (ABA & Non-ABA classroom teaching opportunities available)
• Center-based Classroom Teacher (CPSE Preschool classroom)
• SEIT

Close supervision / mentoring (weekly 1:1 supervision) and continual training is provided. New graduates are welcome.

Teachers must have Special Education (Birth-2) or Special Education (K-12) certification

The School is looking for the following providers (Independent Contractor) to accept immediate home-based EI cases in Queens and/or Nassau County:

• SPEECH THERAPISTS
• OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTS
• PHYSICAL THERAPISTS
• LICENSED (Ph.D, PsyD) PSYCHOLGIST
• SOCIAL WORKER (BILINGUAL, LMSW)


EARLY INTERVENTION SERVICE COORDINATOR

You will provide service coordination to parents of children with developmental disabilities in the EI program.

BA/BS in Human Services or related field required or AA degree with Service Coordinator experience; Bilingual Spanish and completion of Service Coordination training preferred.

Strong oral/written communication skills & knowledge of all EI requirements & paperwork including FAP, CPSE system & programs/services for young children with special needs and their families essential. Must be willing to travel with-in Queens.


ADAPTIVE PHSYCIAL EDUCATION TEACHER:

P/T center-based position working with children 18 months to 5 years of age.


TEACHER AIDES: HS Diploma or higher required
Positions in special education classrooms and daycare classrooms available


DAYCARE HEAD TEACHER: CDA, AA or higher degree required
