SURGICAL TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM DIRECTOR Job Description Sanford Brown Institute located in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an experienced academic professional for the following opportunity:SURGICAL TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM DIRECTORResponsibilities: Conduct spot checks on classrooms within the department, be visible to instructors and students throughout the AM, PM, & EVENING sessions. Teach classes for absent instructors, as necessary. Enforce all school policies and procedures. Assist the Director of Education and Faculty Development Specialist in recruitment, hiring, orientation, and training of instructors in the Department. Provide assistance in the development of course lesson plans, syllabi, and assure industry-driven curriculum and curriculum standardization within the department, as directed by the Director of Education. Provide assistance with educational standardization, quality, and meeting of course objectives within the department. Maintain compliance with accrediting policies in the areas of instruction, curriculum, student satisfactory academics, and attendance. Develop the managerial expertise to facilitate the effective running of the department, in the absence of the Director of Education. Recommend and update current curriculum, in accordance with the Director of Education. Delegate certain administrative responsibilities to instructors, when necessary. Enact student suspensions, when necessary.Requirements: Graduate of surgical technology program from an accredited school with a minimum of 3 years experience in Surgical Technology. CST certified. Management experience. Must have knowledge of educational measurement. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong customer service skills.
