Job Description  McGraw-Hill Higher Education, (MHHE) is a leading provider of print and electronic materials serving the college market, publishing instructional materials including textbooks, lab manuals, study guides, testing materials, software, and multimedia products. MHHE has an exciting opportunity for a Sales Representative in our Humanities, Social Science and World Languages (HSSL) Division.   We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic individual who is eager to start or continue a rewarding career in education publishing.  Sales Representatives are responsible for growing business and maximizing sales of content solutions (digital assets, custom solutions, and text books) to colleges, universities, and community colleges throughout assigned territory. Requirements: Develop strong relationships with faculty and administrators Identifying new product acquisition opportunities, both print and digital Bachelor's degree required Sales experience helpful Knowledge of Microsoft Office products - must be technology savvy Strong communication skills Must be enthusiastic, highly motivated and well organized Approximately 10% overnight travel required Innate Talents Required: Initiative:  Need the ability to cold call and establish relationships with a diverse group of decision makers: academic and medical librarians, corporate librarians, engineering associations, IT staff.   Perseverance:  This sales job will feature an elongated selling cycle and needs someone who is patient and persistent in the sales approach.  Closing skills:  This consummate sales skill will be paramount given the various decision makers involved in the selling process.  Ingenuity: Clever solutions will be needed to close sales and the Account Manager must be conversant with the students’ and professional’s research needs as he/she develops the sales plan that meets the customer’s need.  Technical Acumen:  Must be able to effectively communicate unique selling features and product functionality to ensure proper sales staff and end user (customer) product usage. Compensation includes base salary, performance-based incentive bonus, full benefits, and a company car.If you possess the above qualifications, and are dynamic, motivated, and passionate about educational publishing, please apply through our online system. McGraw-Hill Education: Where the World Learns to Succeed Copyright 2008 The McGraw-Hill Companies.
