Senior Coordinator-Family/Community Partnerships (Head Start Program)

We are currently seeking an effective and highly motivated individual to join our Head Start Program as a Senior Coordinator-Family and Community Partnerships.  Our Head Start program consists of 200+ employees and provides services in 22 locations in the greater Houston area. 

As the Senior Coordinator - Family and Community Partnerships you will apply your professional expertise in family and community development to ensure the provision of culturally responsive, asset-based services to families participating in the CiE Early Head Start/Head Start program.  You will work in collaboration with all content area to deliver comprehensive, integrated family development services in compliance with Head Start Program Performance Standards and all other applicable local, state and federal regualations. 

Your specific responsibilities will include:Leadership an doversight of the Family and Community Partnerships  and Program Governance teams.Assist in the development of the annual program budget.Track volunteer services and donations.Ensure compliance with the Head Start Program Performance Standards, Child Care Licensing regulations and all other applicable state and federal guidelines for services to families and partnerhips with the community.Participate in the annual Program Self-Assessment and any Head Start monitoring reviews.Communicate the Family and Community Partnerships vision, function, goals, and objectives to staff and families through trainings, staff and committee meetings, and through participation in workgroups to develop integrated, unduplicated policies and procedures.  Maintain up-to-date and accurate parent and volunteer handbooks.

To qualify for this position you should have:A Master's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Public Health or related field.A minmum of three years experience in a social service setting working with families and children (Early Head Start/Head Start experience strongly preferred).Knowledge of community resources available in Southwest Houston.Experience with case management.Ability to work with diverse populations-both internal and external to the agency.Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Power Point)Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.Experience using the 'Asset Based Community Development Approach' and/or 'Appreciative Inquiry' a plus.Valid Texas Driver's License with appropriate insurance coverage and ability to travel throughout the city.
