The University of Vermont is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to provide 

cost accounting services that support the negotiations of the facilities 

& administrative rates (F&A) and benefit rates.  The individual will 

apply expertise to University cost accounting processes and related 

systems to provide cost accounting information that accurately models 

costs incurred to support research in a University environment and will 

ensure that cost accounting data and allocations are within OMB A-21 

guidance and University cost accounting business practices. Bachelor's 

degree in accounting or related field and five years experience in cost 

accounting or accounting in a University setting with a medical college 

required, or an equivalent combination. Working knowledge of OMB 

Circular A-21 Federal cost principles and Federal cost accounting 

standards required. Proficiency in the use of software applications, 

databases and spreadsheets  required. Commitment to diversity and 

inclusion required. Proficiency in using Peoplesoft Financials and the 

CRIS cost accounting software desirable.
