S., Canada, France, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates and offer doctoral, master’s, bachelor’s, and associate degrees and diploma and certificate programs We are currently seeking an experienced Finance professional for the following key role: Responsibilities: Plans the scope of financial internal controls testing, develops review objectives and test programs, including identifying and documenting audit procedures. Conducts and reviews process walkthroughs to identify key controls, associated business objectives, risks and relevant control parameters Completes control testing and independently investigates exceptions and identifies significant issues. Drafts initial findings and confirm issues with Business Unit management. Demonstrates advanced professional judgment skills when reviewing and analyzing business unit test results. Evaluates risk impact and mitigating factors. Offers business solutions when discussing areas of concern with management. Communicates and resolves issues with management that arise from reviews or self assessments. Participates in the deficiency evaluation process with the management team. Maintains perspective and identifies compensating controls that may mitigate issues. Administers controls documentation to ensure issues are tracked and evaluated. Prepares formal written reports, as required, to management documenting areas of concern and recommending corrective action with little or no guidance. Analyzes post-assessment follow-up to evaluate the effectiveness of the corrective actions. Demonstrates knowledge of business processes across multiple business units. Demonstrates time management skills, handling multiple assignments with little guidance. Trains and mentors junior staff regarding required knowledge and skills. Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or other related field Professional accreditation (e.g. CIA, CPA, CISA) required or demonstrated progress towards attaining 5+ years of Internal Audit External Audit/Sarbanes-Oxley experience Supervisory experience a plus Business Process Analysis and Improvement Analytical Skills (obtain, analyze and appraise complex data) Industry Experience / Best Practices Prior experience in performing financial/operational/compliance reviews PC Skills (experience in MS Office Word, Excel and Visio flow charting preferred) Demonstrated excellence and positive contribution in performing the above duties and responsibilities Excellent Written and Oral Communication Problem Solving/Logic Objectivity and Professional Ethics Adaptable to Change/Learns quickly Demonstrated teamwork skills Action oriented Emerging leader within the department Ability to management several projects simultaneously Career Education Corporation offers top salaries and a comprehensive benefit program that includes: Medical, Dental, 401(k), Employee Stock Purchase Program and Tuition Assistance To Apply for this position, please CLICK HERE
