Senior Grant Writer

Southern Financial Partners is seeking a Senior Grant Writer in its Office of Development and Investor Relations. Southern Financial Partners is an affiliate of Southern Bancorp (www.sbi-bank.com), the nation's largest rural development bank holding company with a family of community bank subsidiaries and nonprofit affiliates that work together to promote community development and economic revitalization in the Arkansas and Mississippi Delta region.
 

Brief Summary of Duties

Responsible for promoting Southern’s development efforts, primarilythrough researching and drafting proposals to fund Southern’snon-profit activitiesResearches and identifies potential sources of grant and other funding such as:Loan capitalProgram Related InvestmentsMatches the interests of funding agencies with the needs of Southern Bancorp’s non-profit organizations and identifies appropriate funding opportunitiesMust have exceptional research, writing, and editing skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
 



Education and Other RequirementsBachelor’s degree in English, community development, or related fieldThree+ years of experience with grant writingMust have experience with fundraising and/or grassroots initiativesMust have strong interpersonal and written communication skills, and excellent computer skillsMust have a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance
