We are currently seeking an experienced IT Audit professional for the following opportunity: Senior Information Technology Auditor: The Senior IT Auditor plays a lead role in delivering assurance and advisory services across CEC IT organization. Engagements focus on the assessment and/or evaluation of IT systems and the mitigation of IT-related business risks. Engagements may be either assurance and/or risk advisory in nature, and vary in size and complexity. Internal Audit services are designed for the dual purpose of strengthening internal controls and helping improve IT and business performance. In addition to application-specific reviews, IT audits will focus on IT processes such as governance; change management; information security; problem management; and business continuity/disaster recovery planning. The professional in this role serves as a fieldwork leader to assist customers in identifying risk, implementing proper information system controls and maximizing efficiencies. The Senior IT Auditor will work with IT management to analyze, evaluate, and enhance information systems facilitating the business internal control process, and will assist IT management in performing information technology control and security self-assessments. Responsibilities: - Collaborate with the IT Audit Manager and other team members in planning engagements and developing process and control documentation, audit objectives, tests, timelines, and risk assessments. - Effectively document business processes dependent on information technology. Serve as a leader in executing daily fieldwork, informing the IT Audit Manager of engagement status, and evaluating staff performance. - Use knowledge of the current IT environment and industry IT trends to identify the engagement and customer service issues, and communicate this information to the customer and Audit management through written correspondence and verbal presentations. - Apply strong project management skills, inspire teamwork and responsibility with team members, and use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of Internal Audit deliverables and services. To qualify, candidates must have: - A bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, computer science, information systems, or a related discipline. - 5+ years of experience working as an IT auditor or IT risk advisor in public accounting or within an Internal Audit organization. - A demonstrated understanding of complex information systems (PeopleSoft, Microsoft, SQL) and processes and ability to apply that knowledge in conducting IT audits. - An understanding of IDEA or similar data analysis software. - Project management skills. - Strong written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills. - Leadership, teamwork and interpersonal skills. - Demonstrated integrity within a professional environment. - Demonstrated value of diversity in the workplace.
