GENERAL FUNCTIONS: The purpose of this position is to be responsible for the technical analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and post implementation support for PeopleSoft projects. Applications include Financial Management System (FMS), Human Capital Management (HCM), & Enterprise Performance Management (EPM). Responsible for modifying existing PeopleSoft components, creating custom “bolt-on” applications, integration between PeopleSoft and non- PeopleSoft applications; Mentoring less experience PeopleSoft developers; Assist less experienced PeopleSoft developers with modification technical design; Employing “Business Intelligence” to extract business data from PeopleSoft systems to provide users with accurate reporting; Analyze requirements document and implement business functionality within PeopleSoft using PeopleSoft tool sets; Setup and Configure PeopleSoft applications; Prepare technical documentation and test matrices for modifications; Prepare development schedules, development documentation and change controls, as necessary; Lead technical design reviews; Assist in developing technical standards and methodologies; Designs and codes screen layouts, graphical user interfaces, printed outputs, and interfaces with other systems; Creates test transactions and runs tests to find errors and confirm programs meet specifications; Designs and codes screen layouts, graphical user interfaces, printed outputs, and interfaces with other systems; Assist testers when needed to prepare databases for complex testing and user acceptance testing. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Math, Engineering, Information Science or closely related field and five (5) years of relevant experience or the equivalent combination of nine (9) years combined relevant education and experience which must have included two (3) years developing PeopleSoft applications, experience working with PeopleTools 8.4 and higher. Development experience in an Oracle database environment preferred. Must possess experience in customizing bolt-ons to the applications; develop and modify at least 2 PeopleSoft HCM Or (FMS) modules (8.8 or higher) using SQR, Applications Engine, PeopleCode, component interface, and PeopleTools. Experience with several (3+) full lifecycle implementations. Knowledge of the principles, practices and methods of one or more of the following PeopleSoft 8.x applications: FMS, HCM, EPM, as well as best practices for their use; SQR, SQL Application Engine, Work-Flow, Integration, Configuration and Setup; Knowledge of at least one, preferably two, PeopleSoft Data Models. Experience with PeopleSoft security set up; Knowledge of customizing PeopleSoft Workflow; developed complex modules or bolt-ons to the applications; develop and modify a variety of PeopleSoft HCM Or FMS modules using SQR, Applications Engine, PeopleCode, component interface, and PeopleTools; Skill in and experienced with MS Office products: Word, Excel, Visio and PPT; Skill in system analysis, business analysis, and requirements development and in analyzing and solving complex problems; Ability to work quickly and efficiently in designing and implementing technical solutions; Ability to analyze technical and functional aspects of a program and troubleshoot complex technical and functional issues; Ability to analyzes code to find causes of errors and revises programs; Ability to work successfully in a team environment and possess the flexibility and adaptability to changing requirements is required; Ability to translate needs analysis results into functional designs and to develop and learn new technical skills quickly; Ability to maintain harmonious work relationships with staff, students, faculty and University officials and the general public.
