Business Analyst - Borrower Services

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Manager of Business Analysis, the Business Analyst (BA) is responsible for coordinating with BOS departments the research, evaluation and implementation of technology solutions to support business processes.  The BA works with BOS departments including the BOS User Acceptance team to address business process enhancements and system maintenance issues.  The BA is also assigned responsibility to gather and document business requirements, coordinate activities with the Information Services Division, perform business process analysis, and evaluate the feasibility of system and process-related enhancements. 

Essential Functions:Identify and evaluate technology-related business process issues. Evaluate system enhancements requested by a BOS department to determine feasibility, define requirements, and support implementation.  Collaborate with BOS department or information technology development resources to design and implement a solution.Collaborate with business sponsors, business users, information technology development staff, quality assurance team members and others, as necessary, to clarify business requirements.  Coordinate changes to business requirements with the applicable BOS department and update requirements documentation as required.Work closely with the business sponsor and/or project manager to ensure acceptance on business requirements and receive signoff. Prepare accurate, comprehensive and concise documentation that includes problem definition, proposed solution, detailed requirements, outstanding issues, and recommended implementation approach. Create business process flowcharts and/or diagrams to support process changes and system enhancements.

Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required2+ years of experience performing business process analysis, business requirements evaluation and design, or quality assurance/user acceptance testing. Experience with iterative and/or agile software development methodology and understanding of all stages of the software development life cycle. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications requiredExperience using SQL highly desired; ability to pass a proficiency exam in the use of Structured Query Language (SQL) a plus.  Will be expected to attend SQL training as needed.Experience using XML, BPEL, BPMN or other process modeling tools is desired
