Sorority House Director - House Mother

This is a position, available for start as early as May 2008, as a House Director or "House Mom" for a sorority on Butler University's campus in Indianapolis, Indiana.  House Director lives in the sorority house (furnished quarters) during the school year -summers optional.

 

Basic Duties of House Director:

 Communicate with House Corporation, as directed

 Physical facilities management Keep House Corporation advised concerning the condition of the house and furnishings and the need for repair or upgrades Schedule and oversee repairs and deliveries Understand/adhere to limits for authorized action Reporting Requirement Vendor management
 Chapter Relations Assist in planning and hosting special events Attendance at certain recruitment and other special events Act as point of contact for maintenance issues Coordinate fire and inspection activities Provide feedback regarding regulation violations

 Relations with vendors and suppliers Act as primary contact for vendors and suppliers Promote positive relations Keep House Corporation informed about status of repairs and deliveries and satisfaction with vendors and suppliers Maintain a list of repair/service contacts approved by the House Corporation, as directed by the House Corporation

 Oversee opening/closing of house, as directed by the House Corporation
