Job Description

  We are an Early Intervention agency in Midtown Manhattan serving children ages 0-5 with developmental delays in the New York City area.  We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to take on the role of Early Intervention Evaluations Clinical Supervisor.  The job responsibilities include:

 

· Supervision

-  Establish and maintain a continuous supervision/training plan for current and new therapists

-  Training and supervision should cover the followings:

a.  Teaching various assessments

b.  Scoring

c.  Report corrections

d.  Making recommendations and informing intake coordinators

e.  Training on how to write Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals

f. Training on how to attend and prepare for Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and IEP Meetings

· Conduct evaluations for EI and CPSE

a.  Conduct home based and center based evaluations on Tuesdays and Thursdays

b.  Write reports for these evaluations and submit them on time

· Correcting reports

-  Responsible for reading, reviewing and correcting all evaluations reports written by salaried school psychologists and special educators

-  Communicate with salaried school psychologists and special educators when there are issues in the report

· Review evaluation packets

-  Review evaluation packets to compose summaries and complete grids if necessary

· Attend IFSP & IEP meetings

-  Prepare and attend meetings for IFSP and IEP meetings

-  Contact therapists when necessary

-  Review evaluation results

· Workshops

-  Plan periodic workshops for all evaluators to review old policies

-  Introduce any new policies and mandates

-  Arrange payments for presenters

· Counseling

-  Supervise Interns

-  Attend counseling sessions with interns at various schools

-  Meet with teachers, parents and observe children who require Behavior Management Plans

· Evaluation Packages

-  Read evaluation reports to spell-check, proofread, and make appropriate and necessary corrections.

-  Communicate with therapists regarding modifications to be made in their reports

-  Utilize and complete Quality Assurance (QA) checklist while reviewing evaluations to ensure accuracy of the evaluation reports.

-  Analyze and interpret evaluation reports to record data on grids and write summaries

-  Communicate with parents or service coordinators who require explanation of evaluation results

-  Maintain contact with co-workers to share relevant thoughts or ideas and maintain them adequately informed of evaluation findings as well as feedback from parents, service coordinators, or therapists

-  Read sample evaluations for therapists who are interested in working for Bilinguals Inc. and provide supervisor feedback regarding the findings in the reports and adjustments to be made by therapist

-  Prioritize and manage personal time and productivity to meet deadlines and submit work in a timely and accurate manner.

 Requirements:

· Self motivated individual, Multitasked, team player, organized, and leader qualities.

· Bilingual Spanish

· MS in Special Ed required
