Physical Medicine of Rehabilitation

 

Under direct supervision of Principal Investigator the Staff Research Associate responsibilities include the following:

 

Histological processing of tissue using cryostat and microtome for sectioning; carrying out immunocytochemistry; analyzing stained sections using stereological sampling to quantify cell and lesion parameters; preparing stock solutions and maintaining supplies for the experiments; maintaining data records; performing team-based surgical procedures to produce spinal cord injuries; monitoring injuries and provide post-operative care; behavioral testing.
