Strategy Analyst

The Strategy Analyst’s primary responsibility is to research, analyze, and support the development and presentation of solutions to complex strategic business issues affecting the Kaplan Higher Education Campus business. The Strategy Analyst helps contribute analysis that is data-driven and helps secure the buy-in of home office department and field leadership.  Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:  Conduct research and analysis on competitors, programs, occupation and industry growth, cost of delivery, pricing and compliance factors in order to guide changes in the academic program mix at existing KHEC campuses or the site selection process for new campus launches.  Gather data and perform analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of operational initiatives focused on improving academic and/or business performance. Develop models to gain insight into important factors influencing the KHEC business. Help develop spreadsheets, slide presentations, or other deliverables as assigned to showcase research, analysis and recommendations with high speed and quality. Other duties as assigned. Experience Required:· Work: 1-4 years of complex research, problem solving, quantitative and qualitative analysis, financial modeling, and presentation development experience.  Junior-level consulting or investment banking analyst experience in this regard is ideal.· Academic: College degree with outstanding academic record.  Undergraduate majors in business, computer science, economics, engineering mathematics, or statistics are likely to be a good fit. An MBA is overqualified for the position. Position Requirements:· Must be a self starter with the ability to manage analytical projects from start to finish.· Proven ability to work efficiently and with high speed and accuracy.· Ability to conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to create financial or operational models.· Complex problem resolution.· Excellent oral and written communication skills.· Excellent Excel, PowerPoint skills.  · Comfort extracting information from company information technology systems.· Ability to use SQL and/or statistical software, e.g. SAS, SPSS, Minitab to support analysis.· Flexibility and comfort working in a fast-paced and sometimes unpredictable environment.· Relentless about hitting deadlines.
