Student Admissions Specialist

Founded in 2000 and headquartered in Oklahoma City, Okla., Advanced Academics, a company affiliate of DeVry, Inc. partners with school districts to help high school students graduate and succeed. AAI supplements traditional classroom programs through online course instruction using highly qualified teachers and a proprietary technology platform specifically designed for secondary education. AAI also operates virtual high schools in partnership with school districts and charter schools in 6 states.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Student Admissions Specialist is responsible for acquiring new students for partnerships of a growing online learning company.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Strive to reach Student Admissions goal through timely follow up on all inquiries provided by the Student Acquisition group.
• Support and assist Student Admissions Program Lead with any needed support, including
o Reviewing and responding to inquiries
o Answering phone and e-mail questions from prospective students and their parents.
o Sending out enrollment materials to qualified applicants.
o Following up on all in-process prospective students within the client program.
o Maintaining and completing the enrollment file from the prospective student.
• Communicate regularly with students/parents/guardians to ensure needs are meet and questions answered.
• Maintain high level knowledge of program processes and qualifications.

This is an important position within the new student admissions process with excellent career development potential.

REQUIREMENTS:

Some College

 Strong customer service and team work experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, multi-tasking skills, and time management skills.
Must be self-motivated and enthusiastic.
Proficient use of the internet, MS Office Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access.
