Student Finance Representative

Everest Institute – South Plainfield, NJ General Duties:· Assist continuing and re-entering students with financing interviews, financial options counseling and intake processing· Provide students with accurate information about the application process· Provide loan counseling and information regarding State/Federal financial assistance, alternative financing, contracts, and/or institutional payment plans· Determine students’ Title IV eligibility through an approved needs analysis Financial Aid software system· Perform needs analysis, provide financing documents and generate tentative award letters for new students· Process all forms in accordance with State/Federal regulations and Company policies and procedures· Serve as a liaison between students, business office, and third party agencies/services· Inform students of their financial obligations, the institution’s financial options, and financial policies and procedures as related to their educational expenses· Update appropriate tracking systems for timely processing, funding, billing, and collections· Monitor and follow up on the status of pending student loan documents· Provide customer service necessary to ensure complete and accurate financing of student educational expenses Requirements:· Some college coursework and 3-5 years’ financial services/financial aid experience in an educational setting OR equivalent education/experience· Thorough knowledge of student loan programs· Computer literacy· Ability to effectively organize and establish priorities· Strong communication, negotiation and problem solving skills· Highly motivated team player We offer competitive compensation and excellent benefits including a comprehensive healthcare program and 401(k) plan.
