Salary information
The NYC Department of Education offers very competitive salaries.  For the 2008-09 school year, the starting salary is $45,530 for a new teacher with no experience and $51,425 for a new teacher with a Master’s degree.  Salaries increase with education and experience to a maximum of just over $100,000.
