Pope John Paul II Catholic Academy of Dorchester/Mattapan seeks full-time teachers for grades Pre-K-8 on its 5 campus locations for the 2008-2009 school year.

 

Professional Requirements:

·  Valid teaching/administrative MA certificate or in the process of obtaining certificate

 

Credential file requires:

· Application

· Resume

· Official College Transcripts

· Copy of State Certificate(s)

· References (3)

 

The Office of Catholic Schools screens and verifies the professional background of the prospective teacher. A written notification is sent to the candidate when the file is complete. If your application is approved, you will receive a letter which can be used as a reference for interviewing at the 5 campuses and a list of position openings.  Annual written contracts are signed with the Regional Office of Pope John Paul II Catholic Academy. No contract shall be valid and binding unless and until this written notification has been received by the principal and a positive background screening (CORI check) has been confirmed. Preference in hiring may be given to teachers who are Catholic and who evidence an understanding of the Catholic faith and a commitment to living that faith.
