Summary:
Wheelock College's American Studies and Human Development departments seek an Anthropologist for a tenure-track, joint-appointment position at the Assistant or Associate level beginning Fall 2008.

Responsibilities:
Candidates will teach (1) a range of courses on American culture that complement existing topical and theoretical offerings, such as globalization, material culture and urban space and (2) a range of courses in cultural anthropology, including an introductory course and courses in the candidate's areas of expertise. Candidates will demonstrate a commitment to the mission of Wheelock College, sustain excellence in teaching, and maintain an active research program.

Qualifications:
Successful candidates will possess an earned doctorate in American Studies, Anthropology or related interdisciplinary fields. The candidate must show evidence of excellence in teaching and scholarly research productivity, demonstrate the ability to work productively with students, faculty and staff, and display a commitment to campus and student development.
