Testing Programmer/Analyst - 08469
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join a team of software testers whose purpose is to provide consultation and support for implementation of administrative applications, including, but not limited to, PeopleSoft. This includes the use of testing management and productivity software to design, develop, and manage test scripts that cover all aspects of an application software suite, including, but not limited to, vendor-delivered functionality, Cornell-specific modifications, and interfaces that move data into and/or from the software modules. Position requires analysis and documentation of the functional processes through participation in functional interactive design and prototype sessions. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing support for project functional teams in development of test cases and test parameters. Schedule and run tests, as appropriate, as well as identify, track and resolve sources of test failures.
Bachelors with 2-3 years experience or equivalent combination. 2-3 years of experience in software application testing and execution using both manual and automated testing tools. Advanced proficiency in analyzing, documenting and modifying business processes is desired. Must possess highly developed analytical skills and have the demonstrated ability to gather information about business needs and evaluate requirements based on business objectives. Must have the ability to meet aggressive deadlines. Experience with web development, VBScript, and relational databases highly desired. Experience with languages and applications such as java, ColdFusion and PeopleSoft a plus. Experience using Mercury Testing Tools (QuickTest Pro, Test Director) and HP/IBM Rational Performance Tester or similar automated testing tools highly desirable. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Strong service orientation. Responsibilities require tact and diplomacy with a flexible and positive approach.
