Summary:
The Vice-President for Instruction serves as the Chief Academic Officer of the college and is responsible for providing educational and administrative leadership in the curriculum programs. S/he oversees learning in the curriculum programs and is also responsible for the learning resources of the college. S/he is accountable for the planning, organization implementation and evaluation of curriculum programs in order that students will be prepared for entry-level positions and /or advanced study of an appropriate nature. Working with the Executive Vice-President, Division Chairs, Dean of Learning Resources, Department Chairs/Program Coordinators, and faculty, the Vice-President will supervise the development of curriculum standards, course content, outcomes, competencies and instructional objectives. In addition, the Vice-President will supervise the development of learning resources and instructional technologies that enhance the teaching/learning process.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Doctorate degree from a regionally accredited institution preferred, Master’s degree required.
Ten years community college experience preferred, five years required with a minimum of three years senior level administrative experience. North Carolina Community College System (NCCCS) experience is desirable.
Proven record of academic leadership & success.
