Visualization and Parallel Programming Position
Dartmouth College is seeking a scientific visualization and parallel programming specialist to become part of our dynamic Research Computing team. This is an exciting opportunity to interact with a broad range of scientific projects. Potential projects are in areas like functional MRI data analysis and interpretation, weather forecasting, analysis of natural phenomena, star evolution, supernovae, virtual reality environments, digital
fine art, and 3D displays of body organs to facilitate diagnosis, prognosis, and treatments of numerous diseases.
The right person will bring to Dartmouth College the following experience:
· Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or comparable experience and related continuing education. A terminal degree is desired.
· Five plus years of demonstrated experience in supporting visualization projects and three plus years supporting parallel processing applications.
· Experience with OpenGL, VTK, ParaView, Flash, OpenDX, IDL, 3D
animation, image processing.
· Parallel programming experience on distributed and shared environments.
