WEB GRAPHIC DESIGNER

In this position, you'll be responsible for:

- Providing user interface and media design for our sales and marketing Web sites within a legacy Java Server Page environment and a growing Microsoft SharePoint development.

- Designing and producing Web pages, promotional graphics, Web video, and UI templates for our sales/marketing Web sites and corporate Intranet.

- Providing graphic design for our site's overall marketing and branding image, and graphical elements as needed.

- Collaborating with our Marketing Communications and Technology & Marketing System Groups.

- Communicating with external vendors.

 To qualify, you must have:

- 2 year art/design school degree with emphasis in commercial art and communications.

- Graphic arts skills with emphasis on Web design and user interfaces

- Animation/motion graphics design experience.

- HTML, CSS and Flash Web development experience, including their interaction on Web pages and their use in current versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer

- Knowledge of JavaScript and ActionScript.

- Experience with Web media creation using Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash Professional and Final Cut Studio.

- Experience with dynamically generated Web pages using Microsoft SharePoint Designer is a plus, but training is available.

- Experience with project management in Web development.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- An understanding and appreciation of the mission of Augsburg Fortress, its ELCA constituency, congregational life, and Lutheran heritage.
