Duties And Responsibilities:

The Wireless Network Analyst position will serves as the Network Operations Groups primary contact for the "Enterprise Wireless Infrastructure" and will be primarily responsible for providing 7x24x365 1st level response, diagnosis and problem resolution for the Harvard Medical School (HMS) wireless infrastructure and will participate in the on-call rotation schedule with other members of the Network Operations Group. Additionally this position will be responsible for the configuration, installation, maintenance and management of the "Edge Networking Infrastructure." This includes but is not limited to all network hardware and associated peripherals, as well as all underlying infrastructure including copper and fiber optic cabling residing in the network closets that provide connectivity to Harvard Medical School desktop, laptops, PDA's either through a network cable or wireless connection. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining the "Wireless Policies and Procedures" documentation.

Required Education, Experience and Skills:

Basic qualifications: Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience. A minimum of 3-5 years experience in computer / network support, Cisco switching hardware and IOS configurations is required. The candidate must have experience in performing site surveys to support an IEEE 802.3g/a deployment. The applicant must also have a working knowledge of the Cisco Wireless Services Module (WiSM) and the 1200 series Lightweight Access Point Protocol (LWAPP) access points and provide input for future design changes and modifications.
