Position Description:e-Learning SpecialistLSI Global Education Services is currently seeking a results-driven, detail-oriented team player to design and develop e-Learning solutions. Audiences for the e-Learning include both pre-sales and post-sales technical and sales specialists with content related to server-attached storage, SAN storage and replication products. You will work with product teams to stay current on our products and technology in order to develop eLearning that educates our employees, partners and customers. Interactive, e-Learning courses may be developed entirely by you or may be developed in collaboration with a technical resource. The work environment is highly collaborative and requires exceptional team skills and clear and concise written and verbal communications. You are responsible for user interface design principles and creating an interactive training experience for all students. Your eLearning development skills will also lead to opportunities to collaborate with other teams when your goals are complementary. Responsibilities: • Conduct training needs analyses, including identifying training to address specific business needs for pre-sales and post-sales training• Design, develop, and author interactive and engaging e Learning and blended learning programs with assessments and simulations using a variety of tools/applications that meet/exceed quality standards• Work with instructional designer and creative services to facilitate the creation of new graphics, modifications to existing graphics, and creation of web-based training materials• Manage and maintain multiple curricula according to product or functional specialty taking e-Learning courses through development lifecycle, maintenance and end of life; proactively work with subject matter experts within the organization to maintain quality of courseware• Coordinate effectively with other functional groups across LSI building relationships and maintaining communications with SME’s and other content sources (Tech Pubs, R&D, etc.) for your assigned courses or products• Evaluate customer feedback and metrics in order to identify potential areas of improvement for assigned courses and respond quickly to customer and stakeholder issues related to assigned courses or product area(s)• Contribute as assigned to outsourced course development through project management, technical or instructional design assistance, design document production, or materials review• Complete other assignments and strategic projects in support of department efforts as assigned by the Manager To Apply Visit LSI CorporationQualifications:• BA/BS degree in Education, Computer Science or related field• At least 2 years experience in all phases of instructional design (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation) and eLearning/multimedia design and development (degrees in Educational Technologies or Instructional Systems Design acceptable substitute for experience). • Demonstrated experience creating interactive, online training• Minimum of 2 years experience with web-development tools (Flash, Dreamweaver) and eLearning authoring tools (Articulate, Captivate, or others), and eLearning technologies/platforms (HTML, Learning Management Systems, Learning Content Management Systems)• Ability to learn new products and technology quickly• Strong customer orientation• Project Management experience• Can take on challenging assignments, projects and deadlines, and consistently meet or exceeds goals.• Flexible – able to quickly adjust in a rapidly changing environmentPreferred candidate will have 3+ years of training experience with computer hardware/software at a technical level (UNIX, RAID, SAN, Fibre Channel, networking or software management)
