Acoustic Applications Engineer

Job summaryThe industry leading global manufacturer of miniatureacoustic components is looking for a motivated Field ApplicationsEngineer.  This position will be to provide product technical supportto customers and sales staff in North America for miniature speaker andmicrophone products.Principal Duties and Responsibilities  * Technical interface for new customers interested in using our products.  * Provide support for sales staff.  * Work with existing customers to develop new parts.  * Work with existing customers on technical issues on existing products.  * Work extensively with the engineering team in China on all products and issues.  * Maintain and build customer relationships Required Skills  * Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and engineers around the world.  * Independently work equally well from home, office and on the road with minimal supervision.  * Be able to read and understand technical documents.  * Occasional travel in North America.  * Annual trips to China.  * Degree in Engineering  * Minimum of 2 yrs experience in speaker or consumer product design.Desired Skills  * Audio test experience  * Understand Acoustic part specifications  * Experience in mass market consumer product design  * Exposure to overseas manufacturing.Competitive Salary commensurate with experience and responsibility.
