Analyst-Strategic Planning

POSITION OVERVIEW:

 

Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. is a world leader in semiconductor and electronics components. We are currently looking for an Analyst for the Strategic Planning group to provide market and competitive analysis for the Semiconductor Division. This position reports directly to the Associate Director of Strategic Planning.

 

Common Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

 

· Conduct Competitive Market and Research Analysis on semiconductor-related industries, major companies, technology and economy

· Provide daily, weekly and monthly reports to the executive team as requested

· Conduct Trend Analysis on products, technologies, market and business environment

· Explore New Business & Alliance Opportunities thru Market Analysis and Cooperation with Samsung Electronics Company (SEC)

· Perform special projects to develop specific strategies to enhance Samsung’s performance and efficiency

· This role will partner with Samsung Electronics Company (SEC) in Korea, and North American Head Quarters (NAHQ) in formulating their long/mid-term strategies

 

Background/Experience:

· BA/BS Degree in Economics or Marketing

· 1-3 years experience in the semiconductor and/or technology company preferred

· Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint and Word

 

Necessary Skills/ Attributes:

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Work independently and in a team 

· Good organizational skills and ability to multiple task

· Quantitative & Qualitative Analysis

· The candidate must be detailed oriented

· Comfortable with working in a fast-paced environment and display the ability and the willingness to meet business critical deadlines
