Requirements:

 

·  Understand semiconductor manufacturing processes in order to advise our customers on how to best apply our MKS products to meet their needs;

·  Support customers (primarily OEM) on a range of levels, from working engineer level up through mid-level management;

·  Interact cross-functionally with product engineering and program management to satisfy customer needs;

·  Develop expertise on all MKS ENI/ASTEX products in terms of their basic designs, theory of operations and capabilities;

·  Work hands-on with key customer R&D and engineering personals;

·  Penetrate accounts with both MKS new products and MKS existing products for new applications;

·  Work on-site with customers to resolve application-related issues in a timely manner;

·  Actively collect market intelligence related to emerging technologies and competition;

·  Identify unmet market needs and provide feedback within MKS for potential new opportunities and products.

 

Qualification:

 

·  M.S. or Ph.D. degree in engineering or physical science with experience in the area of semiconductor capital equipment;

·  Familiarity with semiconductor processing generally and plasma processing specifically required;

·  Understanding and hands-on experience with vacuum system, RF and DC power system or remote plasma sources is required;

·  Must be proficient in use of standard diagnostic tools for RF, DC power systems;

·  Must be able to interface well with customers and to operate ‘hands-on’ as necessary when working at customer locations;

·  Must be an effective communicator (verbal and written) both within MKS and with customers;

·  Travel approximately 10-15%.
