Application Support Engineer.

 

Responsibility – Candidate will be responsible for new product strategy, Client product introduction and requirements for Companies next generation fingerprint imaging systems.  Candidate will mold technology, segment requirements, business objective and customer requirements into comprehensive business, product and sales strategy.  Responsibilities will include understanding existing and identifying new biometric market opportunities, segment business opportunities and objectives, identify key segment customers and requirements, create comprehensive segment product strategy, requirements and marketing plans.  Candidate will work with Client’s and his engineering teams to developing product roadmap.  Candidate will also work with sales team to develop winning sales strategies.

 

Skills - Candidate should have minimum 5 years ASIC design with 5 years experience with mixed signal systems. Candidate should be experienced in high performance mixed-signal circuits and systems including ADC/DAC's, high-performance I/O, digital I/O (USB, SPI, Parallel) and integrated microprocessor architecture and design. Candidate should have FPGA design experience with the ability to synthesize FPGA designs into final ASIC designs. Candidate must understand good system power management techniques and practices. Knowledge of high density C4 flip-chip inter-connects a plus. Ideal candidate should have strong software background and be comfortable working with software teams to integrate software requirements and achieve overall system objectives. Experience with NANOSIM, HSIM, VHDL, SPICE and Cadence tools is required. Candidate will be familiar with release processes for key industry leading Semiconductor FAB's like TSMC, UMC as well as others. Candidate should have experience bringing up ASIC's in complex hardware designs with substantial software content. Experience with Customers WW is a plus.

Education - Minimum BSEE, MSEE preferred with background in semiconductor devices, analog/digital system

Our market focus is on developing low cost/high volume biometric identity solutions for consumer products – Cell phones, notebooks, PC, key FOBs and access control. Our customers are companies like HP, Dell, IBM, Lenovo, Sony, NEC, Fujitsu, Samsung, LG, Nokia and others to name a few. In this position you would be responsible for developing the various hardware and software applications for our customers. Most of the initial focus will be with cellular wireless handsets and later with PC notebooks. There will be significant interaction with the sales team and customers.
