Applications Developer II - SHAREPOINT
Suntron Corporation, an industry leader in electronic manufacturing services, delivering complete manufacturing services and solutions to support the entire life cycle of complex products in the semi-conductor capital equipment, aerospace and defense, medical and industrial markets is currently seeking a SharePoint Administrator / Developer to support and administer enterprise SharePoint environment, internally developed web applications on Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases, and to design and support new business applications.
Responsibilities:
This position provides administrative and technical support within the Corporate IT department, working closely with Functional Applications Analysts, Applications Developers, and Database Administrators by converting/translating functional and technical specifications into application solutions. This position is responsible for supporting customers’ ad hoc business requests, managing projects, and developing and/or implementing new business solutions, applications, and customizations. The ideal candidate must be able to work with technical and non-technical resources, perform a full range of technical and end user support activities and be able to translate business requirements into production solutions. Further, this role assists in requirements analysis, data analysis, data mapping, and data warehousing.
This position will work to increase efficiency across all business units by developing and maintaining the company Intranet. This position will contribute to internal and external systems involving SharePoint, internally developed web applications, and other web services.
Viable candidates will exhibit these key attributes:
· 2+ years experience developing enterprise applications with Microsoft Visual Studio 2005, including developing forms and reports as well as writing stored procedures and complex queries
· 3+ years hands-on experience in an enterprise IT environment administering and supporting SharePoint 2003
· Ability to create clear and concise process documentation
· Proficiency with C#, MSSQL, TSQL, ASP, ASP.NET 2.0, IIS, XML, and HTML demonstrating the ability to use various development and reporting tools and processes
· Practical experience with relational database design in Microsoft database versions 2000 and 2005, including data modeling, data mining, data warehousing, change management, documentation, and security controls
· Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Information Systems or an equivalent combination of Microsoft development certifications and years of related experience
· Constructive behavioral skills: high-level problem solving and deductive reasoning; the ability to analyze complex problems and recommend/implement solutions as directed; capacity to prioritize and multi-task; ability to translate business needs into technical specifications; project management proficiency; strong customer service, teaming, and communication; and the capability to work effectively under pressure both independently and as a member of a high performance work team
· Ability to prioritize and organize multiple projects to ensure timely and accurate completion of each project
Preferred candidates will demonstrate these attributes:
· Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment using a structured software development life cycle
· Exposure to the Oracle Discoverer reporting application as well as Oracle database versions 7.3.4, 8i, and 9i on UNIX and Windows platforms
· Familiarity with human resources, customer relationship management, manufacturing and/or supply chain business processes
· Familiarity and knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint 2007 (MOSS2007) administration and configuration management
