Marketing Applications Engineer with experience in customer technical support & training. Individual should have hands-on knowledge of lighting systems to include: ballast & lamp operation, building power systems, wiring and trouble-shooting skills, quality support & technical applications (systems compatibility evaluation experience as well as NEC code, UL and FCC knowledge preferred)
- Support the sale of electronic & magnetic ballasts, LED power supplies/systems as well as new controllable lighting systems (dimming, Bi-level, DALI, load shed etc).
- Interface with customers to provide product/applications technical support & presentations.
- Develop literature, ballast specification guides/catalogs, product information bulletins, how-to-sell sheets, trade show panels/content, product literature and sales support materials.
- Create application notes, demo kits, product displays, spreadsheets, presentations, and training materials to support sales, commercial engineering, and customer visits.
- Provide new product information, technology updates and applications training & presentations to sales force, distributors, OEMS and end users etc.
- Some travel required for training, trade shows, customer visits/sites, sales meetings etc.
- Must be able to manage multiple assignments and perform under challenging circumstances while demonstrating ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
- Must possess strong technical skills, capable of working in a fast-paced environment and have a strong customer focus attitude.
Skills and Experience:
Education: BS in engineering (preferrably electrical) with good business/technical marketing background Minimum of 5 to 7 years or more relevant experience in the lighting/electronics or power systems industries in electronic/electrical systems, lighting/power systems and/or technical applications/marketing positions
LC Certification (NCQLP)a PLUS
