Associate ET Engineer

Job Description

Primary responsibility is to support the Manufacturing, Engineering, R & D, and Service laser electronics.  Will be working on complex electronics issues, where considerable judgment, initiative and experience are required in resolving problems with designs and quality.  Be able to determine methods, procedures and safety practices on new assignments/products and provide direction to other ET personnel.  Be able to troubleshoot systems to board level and boards to component level.

 Primary Requirements

 

·  Solve complex electronic issues on standard, custom and new products.

·  Determine method procedures and safety practices on new assignments

·  Troubleshoot system to board level and boards to component level.

·  Responsibilities will include the support of service personnel with electronic technical issues;

·  Repair broken equipment, boards and sub- assemblies along with incoming inspections of components;

·  Set-up for engineering testing and experiments and document results;

·  Maintain test logs, records and track calibration of equipment;

  Occasionally will support R&D and manufacturing in new product test, build or evaluationJob Qualifications

·  Minimum AA or AS degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent is required.

·  Five (5) plus years experience in a production electronics environment utilizing complicated schematics, drawings, and sketches.

·  Be proficient in mathematics, handbook formulas, computers and various measurement equipment (scopes, DVM's, chip burners, soldering irons and hand tools).

·  Supervisory/lead experience in a production environment.

·  Must be able to interface with all levels of management and possess strong oral and written skills;

·  Proficient computer skills.
