Purpose: The Assistant Controller / Finance Manager is responsible for assisting the Corporate Services Controller in general accounting, reconciliation, and analysis of balance sheet and P&L accounts for corporate service entities. Review of month-end close, expense accruals, and allocations entries.  Overview inter-company activity, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Fixed Assets reconciliations. Ensure SOX compliance and departmental procedures are set up and followed according to GAAP requirements.   Principle Accountabilities:   Review balance sheet reconciliations for multiple entities. Work with GL Accountants to prepare journal entries for accruals, month-end close, One-time-charges classification, etc. Review P&L analysis.  Work with Financial Analysts and Cost Center Managers to review P&L expenses and accruals to follow departmental procedures. Review analysis of revenue recognition as needed. Review Analysis and classification of one-time Charges and preparation of OTC Rollforward schedules. Assist Guadalajara shared services team in issues with inter-company vouchers for general expenses and allocations to ensure accuracy and approval from the other sites for corporate services entities. Ensure the international shared services team for fixed assets, treasury, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll perform reconciliations and complete month-end close in a timely manner for corporate entities. Prepare month-end variance analysis for multiple entities. Assist Controller in year-end packages and audit schedules preparation. Ensure SOX procedures compliance. Assist Controller in internal and external audits for SOX and financial reviews. Review Variance Outlooksoft analysis for corporate reporting. Prepare reports for management as needed. Prepare and review of forecasts for multiple entities. Assist team in the follow up of multiple issues for utilities, open loans, close of facilities, legal, taxation, etc. . Assist the Corporate Services Controller in multiple projects. Requirements:   Finance/ Accounting BS degree required. CPA and/or MBA a plus. Minimum of seven years progressive accounting experience including general ledger, SOX compliance, and management is needed. Work on assignments that are complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making recommendations.  Requires knowledge of US GAAP and accounting procedures within a large corporation.  Must be able to multitask in a fast paced environment, and deal professionally with many levels of management.  Must be highly motivated and possess excellent analytical, verbal and written communications skills.  Strongly customer service oriented and team player. Must possess a sense of urgency and tact when responding to management requests.
