Audio Video Electronics Technician - JOB FILLED

Basic Function


Electronics Technician will install and program custom audio/video home equipment such as flat screens, remote controls, DVD players, stereos, and speakers.  Basic telephone and telephone systems are installed and programmed.  Set up low voltage relays and automation circuitry. 


Responsibilities


Administrative Responsibilities



1. Electronics Technician will travel daily using a company vehicle.

2. Electronics Technician will need to work long hours on a daily basis.

3. Company uniform shirts will be distributed and worn daily.  Proper work pants will need to be provided by the employee and worn on a daily basis.

4. Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work

5. Receive and sign for equipment at vendor locations.  Receive/deliver/check-in equipment at company warehouse.

6. Complete and turn in invoices for each client along with a check-list on a daily basis.

Customer Service Responsibilities

7. Correspond with clients verbally or in writing and/or train clients on their new equipment verbally or in writing.

8. Confer with customers to determine the nature of problems or to explain repairs



9. Instruct customers on the safe and proper use of equipment.



10. Deliver equipment to company warehouse or client’s home.

11.Contact appropriate companies for preventive maintenance and/or service on client’s equipment.

12. Confer with contractors regarding the scope of the job.

Technical Service Responsibilities

13. Program Universal Remote Control remotes and Panasonic telephone systems.

14.Install and maintain audio/video home equipment.

15.Work with computers and learn programs for automating high-end home stereo systems.

16.  Locate circuit and component faults using measuring and testing instruments such as multimeters.



17.  Read and interpret electronic circuit diagrams, function block diagrams, specifications, engineering drawings, and service manuals.




Skills

Experience programming Universal Remote Control remotes 

Experience with Panasonic telephones and telephone systems

Experience with Crestron components

Knowledge of Crestron programming

Experience with home stereo equipment

Experience with TVs and connection types


Basic computer skills and computer networking
Experience in low voltage systems including relays

Wire pulling

Using hand and power tools

Using a tape measure

Education and Training

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Higher education is desirable

Certifications in any audio/video training, electrician training, computer training, telephone system training, or remote programming training is highly desirable



Experience

Prior experience in audio/video installation.
