Bookkeeper

Summary To work with the Controller focused on general ledger accounting activities to be completed daily, monthly and annually. Examples include account reconciliations, bank/cash reconciliations, intercompany transactions, preliminary month end statements and GPM entry; and fixed asset duties focused on cost and depreciation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned)



Account reconciliation, monthly entries and schedules to support monthly close as assigned.



Main point of contact for intercompany transactions including but not limited to invoice review, agreeing and booking activity,



Enter all non Accounts Receivable receipts into accounting system and local cash plan schedule. Reconciliation of General Ledger and local cash plan to daily bank activity.



Month end data entry into GPM.



Deposit preparation and scanning.



Accumulate data for allocations of Net Working Capital (NWC) and non-programs specific costs and preparation of entries or allocation schedules to compete monthly reporting.



Maintain Fixed Assets records and acquisition value support. Reconcile fixed assets ledger to general ledger.



Maintain monthly roll forward/ reconciliation of cost and accumulated depreciation for tangible and intangible assets.



Assist Controller in preparation of month reporting to corporate and internally as assigned.



Prepare and submit for review monthly Sales and Use Tax returns. Once approved, submit via state approved method.



Backup roll for Staff accountant activites.



Provide Controller with suggestions for areas to improve accounting accuracy, shorten close cycle and meet corporate deadlines.



Assist others in department as necessary to ensure consistent team atmosphere.
