BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
SUMMARY: This position requires an entrepreneur individual who is responsible for advancing the Imaging Business Unit’s presence in the Americas region. Primary responsibilities include the selling of support and logistics services for Digital Cameras, Digital Camcorders and mobile GPS devices, understanding regional markets, generating growth through new business opportunities, and driving customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.
Advancing regional presence by analyzing local markets and penetrating qualified accounts to achieve defined growth objectives.
Utilize proven marketing and sales techniques to lead the successful identification, qualification, pursuit, proposal, and closure of new business opportunities.
Create strong and long-term customer relationships with forward looking development plans by working with decision makers and understanding key internal and external success drivers.
Actively pursue, develop, and nurture relationships with headquarters and local sites to facilitate winning and implementing new business opportunities. Successfully engage with cross operational functions to ensure the ongoing success of new businesses.
Support the broader business development objectives by tracking/reporting sales activities, contributing regional perspective and market intelligence, periodic forecasting, effectively engaging peers in other business units or regions, creating sales/growth plans, and participating in cross business unit sales events.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: BA/BS college or university degree in related business program; Minimum 6 years of direct sales or business development experience in the electronics services industry; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to create reports, business correspondence, presentations, proposal, and scope of work documents. Effectively present and interact through written or verbal methods.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect and interpret data, establish facts, prioritize by impact, draw valid conclusions, create rational objectives, and implement plans to drive accomplishment.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Ability to utilize programs associated with the Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, Visio and Outlook.
SELF RELIANT: The role demands an individual who is a team player yet is also highly effective by being self sufficient, self directed, and self motivated. To be successful, this role must operate fairly autonomously yet within the broader goals, processes, and policies of the business unit and/or corporation.
