Description
This position offers an excellent opportunity for a recent (or soon-to-be) engineering graduate to join a successful, industry leading corporation in an entry-level capacity. The candidate will be working for Suntron’s “Open Systems Solutions” group, a division which has a long history of providing complex, high quality Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) / single board computer solutions and system-level architecture; PC104, PCI, VME, cPCI, ATAC, configurations for product optimization. Suntron’s “Open System Solutions” division serves customers in the aerospace/defense, communications, medical, industrial and computer related industries. The candidate will be focused on business development and selling the group’s value proposition. Primary territory of coverage will be the Northeast states with some travel outside the region. As this is an entry-level position, training will be provided for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Understand the needs and (versus) wants of the customer and is able to link those needs to a set of service/solutions provided by Suntron’s Open System Solution Group.
Answer technical questions regarding Suntron’s single board computer /COTS solutions offerings.
Develop and deliver high quality customized Suntron presentations to meet the customer needs.
Escalate the point of contact for technical or service oriented issues.
Demonstrate the credibility of Suntron services and solutions at all levels in the customers’ organization.
Help in providing detailed expertise in creating COTS and system configuration solutions to meet specified needs of the customer.
Serve as technical sales liaison between customer and OSS engineering team.
Manage customer visits, presentations, RFI and RFPs.
Lead generation/outbound calling, and warm lead follow up.
Be able to sell and differentiate in a competitive environment.
Ability to manage in high activity, high transaction environment.
Work with internal team to strategically position accounts and close sales.
Take a lead role on driving account solutions or internal teams when required.
Qualifications
Must have a minimum of an Associate Degree in Engineering from a junior college.Candidates with a four year degree from an accredited school are preferred.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a strong sense of customer commitment.
Ability to travel at least 50% of the time and more if required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Self directed and highly motivated with a willingness to take the initiative when needed.
Must be competitive in nature and a desire to win
Ability to understand new technologies and industry trends.
Ability to work independently or cohesively with a team.
