At present, we have an excellent opportunity for a Business/Financial Analyst in our Melville, NY location. As a successful Business/Financial Analyst, you will partner with all levels of the sales division to deliver the highest quality analysis, business intelligence, and decision support. This person will be responsible for all phases of reporting and analyses / business and financial modeling, decision support, and also participate on various projects for the division. The role requires that you interact regularly with regional and branch management as an extension / member of their team. Excellent customer-service skills, the ability to add value, and exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills are a must. This role will have a high level of visibility with Senior Business Leaders within the organization. The Business and Finance Analyst will be required to proactively collaborate with their region in driving improved financial results and timely business intelligence. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Business tool design and maintenance for the sales, finance, and operations teams. - Perform financial and market analysis of business objectives to support field teams and executive management. - Assist in quarterly business reviews at the field and supplier levels. - Provide timely business intelligence and decision support analysis for executive decision making. - Ad hoc project level assignments BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: · Bachelors degree in business-related discipline (preferably Business or Finance) · Three to five year's related experience. · Experience in the following areas: reporting and analyses / business and financial modeling/ database management/ data mining. · Strong Excel and MS Access skills. Visual basic, macros, and database design. · Possess strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills. Must have experience working in fast-paced team environment under tight deadlines and be able to manage multiple priorities. Strong customer service, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
