Business Intelligence Analyst

Klipsch Group, Inc., headquarted in Indianapolis IN, is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to support the Business Intelligence initiative through analyzing, designing, developing, supporting and maintaining reports, dashboards, metrics, and metadata sourced from our enterprise data warehouse and data marts.  This position will work closely with senior management, department heads, business/system analysts, the data warehouse architect, and business users to develop focused work products to meet the business needs for analysis, information and reporting.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 Design, build and support Cognos metadata model using Cognos Framework Manager 8.3Build, test, and document business intelligence products using Cognos 8.3 BI toolsetsWork with business users to understand business processes and reporting, query and dashboard needsTranslate requirements into functional and technical specifications and create estimates for effort Work with Data Warehouse Architect and ETL Developer to perform detailed gap and impact analysis on data structures and applications Strong understanding of  data modeling, data warehouse and data mart constructs and dimensional modelling best practicesSignificant understanding and knoweldge of data mapping/ETL planning and Business Intelligence implementation.

 

Our ideal candidate will have a B.S. in business, computer science or related field and 4 or more years of practical experience in Cognos BI tools (Report Studio, Metric Studio, Query Studio, Analysis Studio, Framwork Manager, Event Studio and Transformer) and SQL.  Demonstrated ability to objectively analyze data is required; a strong background in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is a plus.  Successful candidate will have highly developed communication skills and solid leadership, organizational and analytical skills.  Must be able to think strategically and act tactically.  Must be able to excel in a team environment and be flexible to adapt to changing requirements and priorities.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications required.  Interested candidates should submit resume and salary requirements to: resumes@klipsch.com
