Must demonstrate effective and efficient supplier management including supplier evaluation, assisting with sourcing, set up of new suppliers and parts, daily purchasing activities such as purchase order changes, expediting, invoice resolution, returns, and other activities as assigned by immediate supervisor.  Will work with the planning group to ensure continuity of supply. Plan and carry out activities within commodity responsibility to ensure prompt and efficient coordination and completion of projects. Consult with representatives of other departments on purchasing-related matters.  Ensure Panduit is protected legally and has no financial obligation for materials not per specification. Actively pursue and recommend cost reduction on assigned commodities. Skills, Training, Experience Required: · Minimum two (2) years Purchasing Experience in a manufacturing environment, buying and negotiating with external vendors.· High school Diploma or equivalent. · Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, customers, management, and peers.  · Accurate and efficient verbal and written communication skills, ability to work with a wide range of personalities, with a high task workload, in a project-oriented environment.· Excellent PC, word processing, and spreadsheet skills needed.  · Oracle experience desired.· Basic math including understanding of fractions, decimals, percentages and algebra.· Ability to organize and prioritize projects under direction of supervisor. Physical Requirements: Ability to input, retrieve and transmit data via PC or terminal up to 8 hours per day.Walking, bending, stooping throughout the day.  Rare lifting of moderate (0-50 lbs.) weight. Connect with Panduit today and enjoy excellent healthcare benefits, 401(k), profit sharing, paid vacations and holidays, and advancement opportunities.  See Job Description
