Location Phoenix AZJob Responsibilities Our ideal candidate has 3 years of government procurement experience, is proficient in Oracle, and is results driven.  Duties include: Obtain materials, components, equipment, and services (electronics, resisters,inductors, pwb's, mechanical and sheet metal parts, etc.) Check requisitions, obtain quotations, examine bids, and make awards.  Develop new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequate. Coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels.  Monitor cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value, as required. Evaluate vendor reliability. Maintain supplier lists in ERP system. Interact with suppliers for order/delivery status.Negotiate contracts, write Statements of Work (SOW's) and Request for Proposals (RFP')s for procurement. Comply with government procurement regulations. Experience/Skills Required BA/ BS degree. Minimum 3+ years purchasing experience, both commercial and government procurement.  Good written and verbal communications.  Must be self starter and be able to work independently.  Must have good follow up skills.  Oracle ERP experience a big plus.  Ability to negotiate cost, delivery, specifications.  Solid organizations skills for both internal and customer audit purposes.
