Camera Systems Test Engineer

Aptina Imaging is a division of Micron Technology.  As a Camera Systems Test Engineer at Aptina in San Jose, California, you will validate the behavior of our imaging SOCs and develop tuning procedures to optimize their image quality. In addition you will automate repetitive optical measurements. You also will be responsible for setting up experiments in our characterization laboratory, developing and maintaining automated test procedures, performing device characterization, and documenting test results. Finally, you will work closely with the members of the algorithm, hardware and firmware teams that developed these devices, with our applications support engineers, and with our characterization specialists.The successful candidate for this position will have:  Experience in optical measurements, camera systems operation and measurement automation.  Several years of experience in writing measurement automation software (in C, LabView  or VEE). Familiarity with Matlab and with imaging algorithms such as auto-exposure, auto-white balancing is also desirable. Experience with prototype and camera bench testing methodology is desired. The ability to document measurement procedures and test results and to communicate effectively with internal customers and vendors. Good writing skills, and must work well in teams. A good work ethic and must be innovative.Education:A Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, physics, computer science, color science, imaging science, or digital imaging is preferred. Join Us!
