Circuit Design Engineering Manager - Power Management

In this Senior Design Manager role you will manage, supervise, and provide technical mentorship for the design and development activities of a sizeable group of Power IC designers. You will be instrumental in proposing new circuit ideas as well as developing derivative and cost reduced products through design and technology upgrades. You will collaborate at all levels of design to include system architecture and applications to analyze topology trade-offs and generate detailed specifications. Additionally, you will drive designs through simulation, verification, layout, test, and validation of new silicon.

 

Further design manager responsibilities include – setting goals, establishing priorities, assigning tasks, monitoring and evaluating results, determining budgets and preparing forecasts. You will also help promote strategies for team development and working relationships. Working within general guidance and objectives established by senior management, you will independently determine the best approach for achieving results. You will collaborate with other senior managers to develop strategic plans and goals and make the final decisions on operational matters that ensure your group's effective achievement of their objectives.

 

The typical minimum requirements of this position are 10 years with a BSEE or equivalent; 9 years with a MSEE or equivalent; 7 years with Ph.D. or equivalent. You must have an in-depth understanding of semiconductor devices, analog design, and demonstrated expertise in the design of high efficiency regulators.
