Job Responsibilities: Square D Company is a part of Schneider Electric, a global leader in power distribution and energy management systems. In our Lavergne facility we are involved in all phases of design, development, marketing, and manufacturing of award-winning products and customer solutions.We are currently looking for a Materials Analyst. This position is accountable for managing material control systems and procedures which supply in-house fabricated and vendor supplied parts to meet the needs of assembly operations and inventory investment goals. Performs advanced production and inventory control duties, including system support, and maintenance audits of systems and procedures which are consistent with maximum operating efficiency and departmental goals.A. Reviews and controls all manufactured parts. Maintains Kanban system by updating cards, quantities, locations of material, and components. B. Utilizes marketing and demand forecast to determine and schedule optimal materials to meet production demands. C. Processes record for Special Order Items and coordinates the manufacture of those orders for customer delivery, Order Only and direct ship items. D. Coordinates with manufacturing facilitators to ensure the availability of materials and the maintenance of production schedules necessary to meet customer satisfaction requirements. E. Audits and modifies as required device and component safety stock levels, lead times, EOQ's and group floor stock content and levels to ensure they correlate with current conditions. F. Recommends products to be removed from the list and coordinates their deletion. Coordinates the introduction of new products and recalls products in excess to be modified into products with higher sales. G. Assist in correcting BOM's and material requirements to insure inventory is properly relieved. H. Recommends the "ABC" cycle count of inventory with a goal of eventually eliminating the need for annual complete physical inventory for POWERLINK components. Analyzes reasons for inventory discrepancies and proposes changes to the processes or computer systems to correct those problems. I. Develops plan to improve inventory turns and maintain the desired level. J. Tracks and monitors corrective action plan from external vendors and internal suppliersJob Qualifications• HS Diploma required, some college desirable• Must have thorough knowledge of electrical components, POWERLINK components and applications desirable• Background in purchasing and material procurement• Understanding of Quote to Cash, AMAPS, ACADD, Ace Order Edit, FAS, ETO/MES• Computer skills, Excel, Word, Project, Access, and Lotus Notes desirable• Outstanding troubleshooting and investigative skills• Experience in Kanban and inventory management process• Familiarity with lean manufacturing techniquesTHERE IS NO RELOCATION AVAILABLE FOR THIS OPENINGSubmit Your Resume Online NowSchneider Electric Company is an equal opportunity employer.
