Communications Director Experience (Years): 6 Overview: Communications Director Arrow Electronics, Inc. At present, we have an excellent opportunity for a Communications Director in our Englewood, CO location that combines both internal and external communications responsibilities for this $4.7 billion business of Arrow Electronics. This position will support the public relations, internal and external communications function for Arrow 's North American Components (NAC) business in Englewood, Colorado. The successful candidate will have experience in developing and executing internal and external communication strategies, leading a web design team and interacting with leadership at the highest levels within a Fortune 500 organization.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: -Developing and implementing external and internal communication strategy for Arrow NAC and its vertical business segments, which supports Arrow's vision, mission, values, (this includes HR programs, continuous process improvement, ethics, mergers and acquisition, etc.) -Establishing a consistent brand for North American components in conformance with Arrow guidelines -Assisting in development and deployment of all major organizational announcements, both external and internal, including press releases. -Overseeing and producing all major internal communications in support of the business president and senior management team, which includes the development of all communications tactics and ensuring consistent portrayal of the NAC brand and image. -Developing presentations for the NAC president as required, that drive his message and that of the business vision and strategy throughout the organization. -Pitching media stories to the trade and second tier media as required and ensure media coverage -Creating new relationships with second and third tier media to enhance NAC press coverage -Identifying speaking opportunities for NAC president and business leadership at appropriate external venues in support of the business vision and strategy and work to secure media coverage -Developing reports regularly that measure both qualitative and quantitative results of communications work in both the external and internal communication arena - Managing a team of 6 web designers and content management of the NAC intranet and the external image of the Arrow.com tool. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: -Minimum 6 years relevant Media Relations Communications experience -Minimum 6 years relevant Internal Communications experience -Familiarity with the rules governing publicly traded companies including federal disclosure regulations -Excellent writing and presentation skills with the ability to produce clear and concise communications -Demonstrated ability to influence all levels of an organization -Innovative thinker with strong judgment and execution -Self starter, works well with little supervision -Proven success in developing and implementing a results oriented communications program including management of web design and content creation -Experience managing a staff of highly creative communications professionalsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: -Masters degree in CommunicationsWe offer a competitive salary, incentive program and comprehensive benefits package, which includes tuition reimbursement, employee stock ownership plan, health and dental plans, 401(k), and a unique sabbatical program.
