Position Description:

Intermec develops, manufactures and integrates wired and wireless automated data collection, Intellitag® RFID and mobile computing systems. Intermec and its network of leading technology partners can provide complete answers to companies' supply chain information requirements.Looking for a Compensation Manager.Principal Responsibilities:1. Provide design, development and administration of the Company's base and incentive compensation programs and processes on a global basis ensuring a competitive level of pay, motivation and reward. Incentive plans include specific business unit plans for executive, sales, marketing and finance. In addition, provide recommendations for the development Bonus incentive/Sales programs, design and administration of spot bonus programs, middle management incentive plan and other reward based plans. Manage the company's variable compensation programs by providing senior management with guidance on issues involving pay policies, procedures, plan feasibility, design, competitive need, legal issues, eligibility and financial modeling. 2. Identify, study and develop new proposals or modify existing plans to enhance the company's total compensation programs consistent with compensation philosophy and business objectives/strategies. These may also include special incentive pay plans to meet short-term tactical objectives.3. Provide line management, HR staff and support organizations with guidance on reward based plan documentation, implementation, communications, administration, interpretation, regulatory compliance and problem resolution.4. Lead the integration of a total global rewards program and global grading project to bring consistent practices and methodology across the organization and in alignment with strategic initiatives.5. Provide analysis and management reporting for selected bonus plans and stock option plans, Proxy/SEC reporting and executive compensation.Ensure compliance with all corporate and governmental regulations.6. Administer job evaluation and market pricing processes to maintain competitive compensation structures both domestically and internationally. Assess the company's competitive pay position through: a. Selection/preparation of formal salary surveys; b. Preparation of analyses to ensure internal pay equity and external competitiveness and related presentations of recommendations to management; c. Provide recommendations based on analysis of the company's market position for the annual salary increase budget and salary structure movement proposal; d. Review of state/federal regulations and laws affecting wage & labor issues, awareness of compensation trends and new developments and the assessment of the impact of these issues on current and future compensation plans; e. Maintenance of the job classification program by conducting job studies, preparing position descriptions and evaluating jobs to determine relative worth and level within the organization; f. Preparation of special market pay analyses on specific jobs or job families, as needed.7. Develop and prepare management-training sessions on compensation and reward programs.8. Investigate and develop proposals for alternative reward systems.9. Establish local/national contacts (networking) to obtain competitive compensation data as needed. Assume a leadership role by participating in industry interest groups and local salary survey steering committees. SKILLS:Solid working knowledge of governmental legislation and labor laws both domestic and international. Solid working knowledge of statistical concepts & methods, with strong analytical skills. Good oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. Strong ability to interact with all levels within the organization, and in particular with executive/senior management. Computer skills include HRIS systems, Excel, Access, Powerpoint.EXPERIENCE:Over 10 years experience in designing and administering cash and non-cash compensation programs. EDUCATION:Bachelors' degree in Business Administration preferred or equivalent experience. Certified Compensation Professional (C.C.P.) designation preferred or a comparable level of related course study.Intermec Technologies Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
