Continuation Engineering evaluates current product offerings and assesses the feasibility of reducing cost and introduces the modification into the Supply Chain. Evaluation projects are to reduce supply chain costs. Review product or process for quality and manufacturability benefits. Support supplier development efforts in the area to fully realize the cost savings and lead time reduction opportunities (Lean Manufacturing, Continuation Engineering, etc). Effectively work with Commodity Managers, Supplier Quality Engineers, Program Managers, Test Engineers, Quality Engineers, Manufacturing and Design Engineers to identify and fully satisfy requirements for quality, productivity and delivery. Regularly meet with all level of personnel within HPS, ACS and supplier globally. Excellent teaming skills required. Sourcing activities related: obsolescence management, component qualification and trial runs, including systems, PWB, sheet metal and plastics and qualification of all commodities. Achieving business objectives: cost reduction, defect reduction, lead-time reduction, on-time delivery, and new supplier launches. Plastics, machined parts or electromechanical. Project or Program Management experience and proven track record of successful leadership of high impact projects. Persistent drive for results utilizing sound project management, organizational and problem solving skills with electronic industry, electronic components and printed wired assembly designs and specifications Willing to work in a result based, fast-paced environment, with minimal supervision. Bachelors Degree, Preferably in Mechanical Engineering or related field Minimum of 5 years of Mechanical Engineering Must be proficient in Excel, Access and other MS office applications Pro/Engineer modeling software. Experience with Value Engineering, Lean Systems thinker, Change Agent. Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications. Excellent verbal and written skills. Ability to manage/lead multiple projects to meet business objectives. Must have team building skills. Experience with quality systems and computer skills.
